The punishment of forcing each district to give two children to compete in a game to death definitely is an aspect of lacking Catholic/Christian faith. It is the opposite of mercy; the Capitol is unforgiving and cruel to the people of Panem.
The Capital seems to have absolutly Catholic aspects in it. They make everyone work for them, and keep them in a fenced district. We Catholics believe that people should have freedom.
The relationship between the districts and the Capitol is lacking aspects of the Catholic faith because the Capitol has still not forgiven the districts for something from a long time ago. They continue to severely punish the districts which is not something a faithful community would do.

ReplyDeleteThe Capitol sees the lives of anyone in the Districts as worthless, and the directly refutes the Catholic belief that all human life is sacred.
